This is the picture I chose for my double page spread:
I then placed the image onto the left hand side of the double page spread and set up 3 columns on the right hand side for the text. Then I copied and pasted the article I had written into the columns. I made all of the text black apart from the interview questions that I made red. All of the text in the columns is in 'minion pro' and a size 11. Then I enlarged the 2 quotes into a larger size and into the font of 'Babas Kai', so that they stood out above the rest of the text. Then I put a straight line both above and below them to box them in. I also enlarged the first letter in the text so that it also stands out, which is the 'I'.
Not all of my article fitted in the 3 columns, so next to the last word, in the bottom right hand corner I put an small arrow, which will direct the reader to turn the page to continue to read the article.
On the right hand side of the double page spread in the bottom right hand corner I have written the page number and the name of the magazine, 'FOCUS', in the font of 'Babas Kai', size 12.
I have created 2 lines that run across the top and the bottom of the right hand page. One is red and one is black, which both match the colour scheme. This just adds extra detail to the page.
After all of the detail on this side of the page, I had to add a little to the left side of the page with the image. In the top left hand corner, I created a text box that says 'Chloe White, Cover Star', which refers to her in the image. This text is white and in the font of 'Babas Kai', size 18. I then added a red rectangle to separate the words and add colour to the page. Then in the bottom left hand corner I added another quote, in 'Babas Kai', and 36, a slightly bigger size. I also put this in white and added another rectangle to mach the colour scheme across both pages.
Overall, this is what the double page spread looks like:
